About Me
My name is Cassie Majersky
Hi there, I’m so happy you’re here! I’m Cassie, the twenty something behind Travel Outside the Frame. Originally born in the United States, I am a curious adventurer who just took the plunge to pursue her lifetime dream of long-term travel. This meant closing a meaningful chapter — saying farewell to a 7-year corporate career — and stepping into a new one filled with uncertainty, adventure, and possibility.
A creative at heart, I have a passion for new experiences and extending my comfort zone limits. The allure of seeing, living in, and understanding new cultures has always captivated me, and I firmly believe there is much to be learned simply by listening and observing (an anthropology enthusiast at my core).
Travel
Travel has been an integral part of me even before I entered this world. Born into a family of travelers, I was taught early on that being pushed outside of your comfort zone is not only healthy and safe, but a must for continuous growth as an individual.
After completing my Undergraduate degree in Business and Communications at Bentley University and spending seven years developing myself in the corporate professional world, I chose to take a pause and enter a new chapter of long-term travel and exploration.
This project serves as a place to share my experiences and learnings along the way and an opportunity to recharge my creativity.
Wanderlust is an inseparable part of my identity, having explored 28 countries (and growing!) and I feel an immense sense of gratitude and excitement for the gift of time to discover new parts of both the world and myself.
Photography
Photography has been a passion since my early teens. After working my first job at a local diner, I finally saved enough money to purchase my first camera. I still have that camera today.
It has been my loyal companion throughout countless adventures, from studying abroad in Seville, Spain, family vacations in the Caribbean, and road trips across the US. It has been with me atop mountains in Switzerland, along the Californian coast, and at the top of multiple volcanos.
I feel most inspired when traveling to beautiful places and the novelty of a new place ignites an indescribable sense of vitality.
Through my photography, I aim to showcase the beauty of our world. I like to say that these are what you would see if my eyes could take pictures.

What’s Next
Today, I am living my decade-long dream of long-term travel, venturing across new countries and continents, sharing and writing along the way.
My hope is to reassure that the hesitancies surrounding uncertainty and the unfamiliar are completely normal, especially when they challenge societal norms, but I encourage you to reframe these fears as excitement and eagerness to learn more.
If your dreams don’t scare you, you aren’t dreaming big enough.
Thank you for joining me on this journey and I hope one day to connect with others who share a similar appreciation for the world of travel.
If you feel compelled to share your own stories, thoughts or simply wish to say hello, please do not hesitate to reach out. Your presence here is welcomed and I hope you find inspiration in this space.
Travel Outside the Frame Story
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but what about everything Outside the Frame? What if the camera had shifted a little to the left — what would the clock tower read? What voices or languages could be heard? A picture is powerful, but so is everything around it.
Travel Outside the Frame is a passion project born from personal curiosity about the world. Here, I share not just what’s Inside the Frame—photography—but also the people, cultures, and stories that bring those images to life. A lifelong traveler, I’ve learned that embracing different perspectives expands our minds and fuels personal growth in ways unlike any other.
This space is for both the seasoned and new travelers who feel an undeniable sense of wanderlust, who see travel not as a checklist but as an opportunity for transformation. Too often, travel has become a competition — the same destinations, the same photos, with a slightly wittier caption.
But what about the meal being prepared in a local kitchen? Or the artist proudly showcasing their craft? Or perhaps the feeling of being somewhere entirely unlike home?
I challenge myself and my readers to step beyond the familiar, interact with the places and people they are visiting, and overcome fears and anxieties that can come with traveling to unfamiliar places. Through this, we can become the most confident and better understood versions of ourselves.
Now is the time to make your own waves. Go where your heart calls, not where a social media algorithm tells you to.
